
About Christopher Herring
Christopher was recognized by Ebony Magazine, the national NAACP, and the US JAYCEES, with a lifetime achievement recognition. The US JAYCEES named Chris as one of America's Ten Outstanding Young Americans (TOYA) award recipients for his positive impacts to advancing America. He joined an elite group of a little over 600 Americans to include former Presidents Bill Clinton, Gerald Ford and John F. Kennedy, civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson and corporate tycoons Ross Perot, Henry Heinz and Nelson Rockefeller.

A sought after leader, Christopher is the premier spokesperson for education, minority business growth, community and economic development, workforce development, diversity and inclusion and entrepreneurship. As a retired US Air Force officer, he brings complex problems to creative solutions from experiences serving as an executive in the for-profit, non-profit, academia and government sectors of America's economy.
Today Christopher C. Herring is the Executive Director of Global Chamber Texas, Global Chamber San Antonio and Texas Committee of US Global Leadership Council.
Chris is the past Chairman of the Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC). As the Chairman of TAAACC, he inspired over 250,000 Black businesses and 22 chambers of commerce in the nation's second largest economy to grow and increase revenues and sales.
Chris is an owner of New Horizons School, a premier child care and early learning center in San Antonio. Graduating hundreds of children into North East ISD schools,
Christopher was the Mayor of San Antonio's (Julian Castro, Ivy R, Taylor, Ron Nirenberg) appointee to the Small Business Advocacy Committee (SBAC) in 2011 overseeing the Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Program subcontracting goals. He was elected Board Chair in 2018. He served as the Chairman of the SBAC's 5-Yr Contracting Diversity Plan Accountability Subcommittee. His work culminated in the City of San Antonio earn the best in the United States award by the International Economic Development Council in 2019.
